Photo credibility

Before/after whitening photos need a second look

A brighter after photo may show real change, better lighting, camera exposure, editing, or all of them together. This checklist helps readers slow down before buying.

Check the lighting

  • Are both photos taken under the same light source?
  • Does the after photo look cooler, brighter, or cleaner overall?
  • Did the skin tone or background become brighter too?

Check the camera and pose

  • Are the teeth the same distance from the camera?
  • Is the mouth opened in the same way?
  • Are lips, shadows, and angle changing the visible tooth color?

Check the evidence quality

  • Is there a shade guide or neutral reference?
  • Does the post mention timing and product routine clearly?
  • Are ordinary user photos consistent with brand-style photos?
Photo concerns do not prove dishonesty. They only mean the image may not be enough evidence for a buying decision.
